Your family’s colors, designed as an original.
Everything else in this house is someone else’s morning, faithfully reproduced. This one is yours: cap and jacket rendered in period plate style, named and dated — “THE REYES SILKS · FIRST CARRIED 2026.” Text only, no uploaded art, no borrowed marks.
The Commission
The Silks
Choose the jacket, the sleeves, the cap, and a classic pattern; name the ground in your own words; add a line of dedication. Rendered as a Georgian sporting plate, a racing card, or a parlor lithograph. For the founding of the family colors, the first pony, the syndicate share, the retirement from the saddle.
Honest by rule: real racing silks are registered with the turf authorities. Ours are original decorative colors, not a registration — and we say so, on the page.

Museum-grade, made to order
Sized honestly to the scan that survives.
Archival pigment ink on cotton-rag stock, colour-managed to the source scan — aquatint grain, litho crayon, and the locomotion grid intact. And a promise most print shops won’t make: we only offer a size the original scan can actually hold. Where the surviving plate is small, we say so and sell you the file instead of a soft print.

Stone, steel & stride
The medium changed. Everything followed.
The etched steel of the aquatint printed the chase for every hall in the county. The lithographer’s stone sold the trotter to every farmhouse wall. Then the camera settled the gallop the painters had argued over for a century. Every picture in this house belongs to one of those four eras — and knowing which is how you see it.
